Title Minimal incision, continuously buried method
Name Ann Sign Date 2013-12-28

I have quite fatty eyelids and my inquiry is whether it can be treated with buried method as explained. I have excessive amount of fat on my eyelids and can this be fixed with buried method?

How are you?
This is Dream Plastic Surgery. Thank you for visiting our clinic.

First of all, we think double eyelid surgery can be done through buried method if there are no other problems. Even people with thick and fatty eyelids, as much fat as needed can simply be eliminated through small incisions to enable buried methods to be used effectively. Our clinic\'s Minimal incision, Continuously Buried method completely treats fat deposits around the eyes and lipid film as in partial incision from inside but from outside surgeries are done through tiny holes so no scars are visible as in buried methods. It enjoys all the benefits of partial incision surgery but hides surgical scars so from patients’ perspective, this would be the most suitable method over long period of time.

The main reason people my want to avoid buried method is because of their concern over sutures coming untied. At Dream Plastic Surgery, during Minimal Incision Continuously Buried Surgery, formation of loops are manipulated to minimize the possibility of them becoming loose. We also vary shapes of these loops to be individually suited for each patient.

I am certain you know about the advantages of the buried method. They include your face coming back to normal promptly and there are no surgical scars left behind. Surgical swelling will subside in 3-4 days hence interfere very little with your social life. But many people think sutures can come untied easily. But even with incisional surgeries, sutures can come untied. With our buried method, it is as strong as incisional method.

But most of all, it would be best to decide on the surgery and its method after a detailed consultation and examination in person.
