I am in my early twenties and have had eyebags since young (i.e. my eyebags are hereditary). I consulted a doctor about this previously and was told that the eyebags are not due to fat, but excess muscle.

I think that cause of your baggy lowerlid is weak lowerlid muscle and loosened septal structure.

There are clinics performing the fat graft surgery over several times. Small quantity injected means quicker recovery time. But we would like to insist our view that fat graft surgery needs to be done properly at once with as much fat relocation as needed and possible to achieve smooth and beautiful contours. If they are divided into many small surgeries, it will be more difficult to continue on from the previous surgery. Think if you are paving a floor with asphalt or cement. It is easy when you are paving over a flat and even area but when you are trying on a bumpy area, it would be very difficult to fill in all the indentations.... Also with sculptures, ceramics or calligraphy, master pieces tend to come from one continuous work rather than being created through numerous touch ups.
In general, after a facial fat graft surgery, substantial amount of swelling subsides after a week and you can resume your daily life. Blood vessels will grow into grafted areas and settle in about 3-4weeks so soft massages are possible.
